Day 16 – Villmark (Wilderness)

FYI: English translation of Benjamin’s (above) text: Really feels like Wilderness now. In the middle of the mountains and meets little with people. Mostly very flat terrain, so easier to get than some of the other days. Will see what we do tomorrow, but if the form allows it, we go to the next unattended cabin, Håheller.
Have found that water is more difficult to obtain when walking on frozen water. Fortunately, we have found small ax holes in the ice from others, where we have had the opportunity to fill the water flakes. Fills as often as we can, as we only get filled 1-3 times a day. The ice is very thick so very safe to walk on. The snow is thick in many places but also completely melted away in other places.

God tur videre.

Simply wow. Nice sled now. Looks like elastic cord crisscrossed across the top. Keep the weight balanced. Try a separate ballast bag of some 10lb content on very top, you can then shift bag from middle of sled to front of sled as trail steepens. Surprised there are no trees so soon. Very quiet?
